And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful. – 1 Corinthians 1:7 Overcoming Appearance Persecution In my life is a Mayan- Black Woman, I have come through something that I call “appearance persecution”. Which means that because of my appearance I have been severely overlooked , misjudged, and severely misunderstood. I have combated alot of racism being a intelligent woman who is ethnic. I have dealt with tough battles and God has never failed me. Yet, today I wanted to encourage someone out there that feels like they are being overlooked and everyone is choosing someone over you. Understand that if God allows you to be overlooked , it is because he is hiding you because he has a greater purpose for you. Being hidden is not fun, but it is necessary. God hid King David for almost 23 years because God had a set time for him to come into power and position. God hid Joseph even when he was in prison for a crime that he did not commit, because God had him hidden and was preparing him to be governor for 13 years. Understand , that one day is like one thousand years to God (2 Peter 3:8). So God already has your purpose and the timeline for your reveal ready just stay the course. Faith Without Works Is Dead The Word of God says, “faith without works is dead”. That is absolutely true. So do not waste your waiting years on social media, caught up in drama that does not matter, and making bad decisions. Be fruitful in your years of waiting and everything that God has promised you will come to pass. Love Mixed With Faith,
